Examination & X-Ray
Your dentist examines the affected tooth and takes a digital X-ray to assess the depth of decay and confirm the health of the surrounding nerve and bone. This ensures the correct treatment plan before any procedure begins.

Book a Free ConsultationA composite filling — also called a tooth-coloured filling — is a modern dental restoration made from a blend of resin and fine ceramic particles. It is used to repair teeth affected by decay (cavities), chips, cracks, or minor fractures.
Unlike traditional silver amalgam fillings, composite resin is shade-matched to your natural tooth colour, making the restoration virtually invisible. The material bonds directly to the tooth structure, requiring less removal of healthy enamel and preserving more of your natural tooth. At DentoCorrect, we use only mercury-free composite materials that meet international safety standards — the same standards upheld across our ISO-certified clinics in 7 cities.

At DentoCorrect, a composite filling is typically completed in a single visit of 45–60 minutes. Here is what happens during your appointment:
Your dentist examines the affected tooth and takes a digital X-ray to assess the depth of decay and confirm the health of the surrounding nerve and bone. This ensures the correct treatment plan before any procedure begins.
A topical numbing gel is applied to the gum first, followed by a gentle local anaesthetic injection. This completely numbs the area so you feel no pain during the procedure — only mild pressure at most. The numbness typically lasts 1–2 hours after the appointment.
Using precision dental instruments, your dentist removes only the decayed or damaged tooth structure. Our conservative approach means we remove as little healthy tooth as possible — protecting your tooth’s long-term strength.
Before placing the filling, your dentist uses a shade guide under clinical lighting to select the composite resin colour that most closely matches your surrounding natural teeth. This step is what makes the final result virtually invisible.
The cleaned cavity is treated with a bonding agent, and the composite resin is applied in thin, controlled layers. Each layer is precisely shaped to restore the natural contours of the tooth.
Once fully set, the filling is trimmed and shaped to fit your natural bite. Your dentist will ask you to bite down on special paper to check alignment, making adjustments until the bite feels completely comfortable. The surface is then polished to a smooth, natural finish.
